‘Busy’ is a word that best describes the Churchgate Railway Station depicted in the picture above. Situated on the Western Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway, it was established in the year 1867 on 12th April. It was then named ‘Bombay Backbay’. Furthermore, it is the first station located in Southern Mumbai lying on the Western Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway. In addition, as of today it comprises of 4 platforms and tracks respectively.
